What's New for 2010 at Huntsville Sew & Vac?

Hello Everyone,

I hope all of you had a great 2009. 2010 is going to be a great year with new machines, great classes and much more.

I am happy to announce that Phyllis Massenburg from Florence is now teaching here at Huntsville Sew & Vac. If you did not take her January class you really missed a great one. She taught us how to machine embroidery pillowcases that look just like the ones that were "Hand Crocheted" a long time ago. She is very good and very knowledgeable. She will be teaching a class every month and her classes are very limited. You will want to sign up early! Thank you very much Phyllis, I am sew happy to have you teach at my store for me.

Cindy Hogan, the PE-DESIGN Expert will be back again for 2 days of fun filled learning. She will be teaching an advanced PE-Design class that will teach you to create complex appliqués by creating a whimsical quilted wall hanging. This is a very limited class (and almost full) call and come in soon to sign up for this class!

We are going to start a new club this year, it is called the "Strip Club." This is going to be a very fun club. Look at the calendar for dates, times and projects.

We will also be doing Scrapbooking once a month. If you already scrapbook and just want to learn come and join us on a Sunday afternoon once a month. Neva Cagle will be in charge of this group.

Trevor Conquergood has a new DVD out and will be in the store soon. It is on using Janome Digitizer Software with the Giga and Magna Hoops. His next DVD is expected to be released in early February will be "Janome Cross Stitch DVD" Video Guide. After that the next DVD that he will release is Digitizer Workshop 02. This one is expected to be released in late February.

Trevor Conquergood will be coming to Huntsville Sew & Vac sometime this year to teach a digitizing class! Watch for the date and time to be announced!

We have a lot of classes coming up this year for you. They are on the calendar now so be sure and sign up soon, some classes are very limited. Check the calendar often for classes that are to be added.

We will have a strict class policy this year. It is very hard for instructors to plan for a class when they don’t know how many are coming. So, each class description will have the instructors name, phone number, class fee and deadline to sign up for that class. You must contact that instructor to sign up for her class and make arrangements to pay class fees. If you miss the deadline you can contact her and see if the class is full and if she will allow you to sign up late. It is up to the instructor to make that decision.
